With regards to perspective, there's a couple ways to view this. Read down each phrase carefully and allow yourself to have your opinions be formed with the phrasing:

Why not me?

She's skinny and I'm not.

He's ripped and I'm not.

They don't have any trouble not gaining weight after a vacation, why not me?

They're in shape, why not me?

They look so happy looking in the mirror, why not me?

They're flaunting that outfit, why can't I?

They don't look guilty eating dessert, why can't I feel that way?

They lost the weight, why not me?

They achieved a transformation, why not me?

Their life changed forever because of their weight loss goals, why not me?

And all of those potentially destructive thoughts can all be changed to gloriously constructive ones.

Try again:

I have a choice.

Little by little, I can change my routine.

I'm stronger than the image and aroma of this dessert.

I can see how happy life would be once I get there.

Each day, I am one step closer, stronger and healthier.

They're in shape, I can get there.

They are ripped, why shouldn't I be?

They're lean, why shouldn't I be?

They look so happy looking in the mirror, what's really stopping me?

They're flaunting that outfit, why shouldn't I?

They lost the weight, what's really stopping me?

They achieved a transformation, why not me?

Their life changed forever because of the weight loss goals, why not me?

The first set of phrases led us on a path to jealousy and despair.

The second set of phrases led us on a path to empowerment.

You have a choice. What's your path?
